Kalshi is reportedly in talks to raise $750 million at a $40 billion valuation. CoinDesk names Sequoia and Wellington as participants. Three months ago the round cleared at $22 billion.

That is a trading venue being capitalized at bank-adjacent size, entirely outside the listed exchange complex. Kalshi also began publishing its live order book over dedicated fiber-optic multicast — the same delivery architecture NYSE, Nasdaq and CME run. The plumbing is now institutional grade.

The Call

Transaction rails are bid and balance sheets are not. Visa gapped up 0.93% and closed at 97% of its range. JPMorgan gapped up too, printed a fresh 52-week high, then got sold all session.

Consensus reaches for the exchange operators and the retail brokers on this story. That is priced. The under-owned read is the money-movement layer — every dollar funding a prediction-market account crosses a payment network first.

JPM tagged $366.49 intraday, a new 52-week high, and closed $3.38 below it at $363.11.

Priority Board

  • V — $365.14, +1.59%. Strongest close location on the board. Sits 2.4% below the $373.97 52-week high. A close above $366.97 extends it. Invalidation is $358.75.
  • JPM — $363.11, -0.57%. The only name to make a 52-week high and finish red. Closed in the lower third. Below $361.29 the failed breakout is confirmed.
  • AMD — $482.97, +0.01%. Tagged $497.90 and gave back $14.93. Closed at 12% of the range on 485,066 shares. Exhaustion print. $481.00 is the session floor; the widely watched $480.00 round number sits just under it.
  • TSLA — $340.07, +3.83%. Biggest mover. Gapped down, reversed off $325.24, closed at 91% of the range. Volume was 953,213. Invalidation is $325.24.
  • META — $594.85, +2.76%. Closed at 94% of the range. My $575 downside call from Tuesday is offside and running out of clock. What changed: the $578.85 area held on the retest and the bid came straight back the next session.
  • NVDA — $225.36, +0.57%. 4.2M shares, the heaviest on the board, and a middle-of-range close. That is a lot of paper for a half-percent move. Still 4.7% below $236.54.

Exposure Check

  • Working: payments. V is the cleanest structure we have and the closest to its 52-week high of any name on the board.
  • Not working: banks. A rejected 52-week high is a level, not a prediction — but it is the level.
  • Changing: the META short view. A close above $600.00 ends the downside case and we stop pressing it.
  • Watching: the White House prediction-market and crypto meeting reportedly set for next Wednesday. Regulatory headlines cut both ways — New York's TRO request already forced a federal order preserving trading.
  • Untrusted: AMD's flat close. Down $14.93 from the high on a green print is not strength.
