Risk Disclaimer
Trading and investing carry a substantial risk of loss. Nothing on Trade-Advise is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Please read this page in full before acting on anything you find on this site.
You can lose money — including all of the money you put in — trading and investing in financial markets. Leveraged products such as CFDs, futures, margined FX and margined crypto can lose you more than your initial deposit. Most retail accounts trading these products lose money. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and do not trade with borrowed money.
1. No investment advice
Trade-Advise is a publisher. Everything on this site — articles, analysis, price predictions, charts, statistics and the broker directory — is general information and market commentary. It is not investment advice, financial advice, tax or legal advice, a personal recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to transact in any instrument.
Nothing published here has been prepared with reference to your objectives, financial position, investment experience, time horizon or tolerance for loss. Something that might suit one reader can be entirely unsuitable for another. If you need advice, consult a professional adviser who is authorised in your jurisdiction and who knows your circumstances.
2. We are not a broker or an adviser
We do not hold client money, execute orders, quote prices for dealing, manage portfolios or provide regulated investment services. We are not authorised as an investment firm, and this site is not a regulated advisory service.
3. Content is generated by AI without per-article human review
Our articles are written by automated systems. Drafts are machine-validated against the market data they were given, but no human editor signs off each piece before publication. Automated systems can make errors of fact, arithmetic and judgement, and can produce a confident argument built on a coincidence. Treat our analysis as one input to be checked, not as a conclusion. Our full process is documented in our Methodology.
4. Price predictions are not forecasts you should trade on
We publish falsifiable price predictions specifically so that our record can be audited — not because we believe they should be traded. A prediction is the authoring system's stated view at a moment in time, based on delayed data, and it can be wrong immediately and badly. We publish our misses as well as our hits on the Track Record page precisely so that you can see how often that happens.
Past performance — ours or anyone else's — is not indicative of future results. A high historical accuracy figure does not make the next call correct.
5. Market data is delayed and may be wrong
Prices on this site come from third-party providers, are delayed relative to the exchange, and can be incomplete, interrupted or incorrect. Never use a price on this site as an execution reference or a valuation. Verify prices with your broker or the exchange before you act.
6. Specific risks to understand
- Leverage. Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains. A small adverse move can wipe out your margin and trigger liquidation.
- Volatility and gaps. Markets can gap through your stop. A stop-loss is not a guarantee of your exit price.
- Liquidity. In stressed conditions spreads widen and you may be unable to exit at any reasonable price.
- Cryptoassets. Highly volatile, largely unregulated in many jurisdictions, vulnerable to exchange failure and irreversible loss of custody. In several countries cryptoasset holdings are not covered by any investor compensation scheme.
- Commodities and derivatives. Exposed to contract roll, storage and carry effects, and to political and supply shocks that no chart anticipates.
- Currency risk. Holding assets denominated in another currency exposes you to exchange-rate loss independent of the asset's performance.
- Counterparty risk. Your broker, exchange or custodian can fail. Protection depends entirely on its regulator and jurisdiction.
- Overnight and funding costs. Financing charges, swaps and fees erode returns and can turn a correct market view into a loss.
- Tax. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances and can change. We give no tax advice.
7. Broker listings are not endorsements
Appearing in our broker directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification or assurance of a firm's solvency, conduct or suitability for you. We are not a party to any relationship between you and a listed firm, and we are not responsible for its actions.
Before depositing money with any firm, verify its authorisation directly on the register of the regulator it names, confirm which entity you would actually be contracting with, and read its own risk disclosures and terms. Details we publish may be out of date by the time you read them.
8. Independence disclosure
We do not sell listings or earn affiliate commission from the brokers we cover. We do, however, operate alongside brokerage businesses in the industry we report on. That is a conflict of interest and you should factor it in when reading our broker coverage. The full disclosure is in our Editorial & AI Policy.
9. Jurisdiction
This site is published for a general international audience. It is not directed at any person in a jurisdiction where publishing or accessing this material would be unlawful or would require registration we do not hold. It is your responsibility to know the rules that apply where you are.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade-Advise and Trade-Advise Ltd. accept no liability for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site — including trading losses, losses caused by inaccurate or delayed data, and losses arising from dealings with any third party mentioned here. Full terms are set out in our Terms of Use.
11. If trading is causing you harm
Trading can become compulsive. If you find yourself chasing losses, hiding your trading from people close to you, or trading with money meant for something else, stop and seek help from a gambling-support or financial-wellbeing service in your country.
