Privacy Policy
This policy describes what personal data Trade-Advise collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to describe what the site actually does rather than to cover every hypothetical.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Trade-Advise Ltd., registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS], registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER] ("Trade-Advise", "we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, use our contact form and select "Privacy & data request".
2. You can read this site without giving us anything
All editorial content on Trade-Advise — articles, market pages, symbol hubs, the track record and the broker directory — is readable without an account. We do not require registration, and we do not run advertising or marketing trackers. As of the date at the top of this page, no analytics or ad-tech tags are installed on this site: no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no advertising pixels, no session-recording tools.
3. What we collect and why

We do not collect special-category data, we do not ask for financial account details, and we never ask for your broker credentials, card numbers or wallet keys. Nobody at Trade-Advise will ever contact you asking for those. Anyone who does is impersonating us.
Broker reviews. Writing a review requires an account, so the email address behind it is the one you registered with, and it is kept on the review. We never publish it. Your review goes live as soon as you submit it; we moderate afterwards, and take reviews down when they break our terms. Ticking “publish as Anonymous” makes your review anonymous to other readers — it is not anonymous to us, and it cannot be, because a broker is entitled to challenge what is written about it and we have to be able to show the review came from a real person. Your rating, headline and review text are public once published. You can edit or delete your own review at any time, and deleting your account leaves published reviews in place under their existing byline; see section 9.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use the minimum required to make the site function:
- Session cookie — identifies your browser session so you can stay signed in. Expires when your session ends (currently a 120-minute inactivity window) or when you sign out.
- CSRF token cookie — a security token that prevents forms being submitted from other sites on your behalf.
- Theme preference — your light/dark choice is stored in your browser's
localStorageunderta_theme. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
We set no advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings; the only effect will be that you are signed out and your theme resets.
5. Third parties that receive data when you load a page
Some pages embed content served by third parties. When your browser requests that content, those providers necessarily receive your IP address, user-agent and the referring page, and they may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control that, and we do not receive their data about you.
- TradingView — interactive charts and the market ticker.
- Alternative.me — the crypto Fear & Greed Index.
- Google Fonts — web fonts.
- jsDelivr / cdnjs — stylesheet and script delivery for the site's front-end libraries.
If you would rather not load third-party embeds at all, a content blocker will suppress them; the site's editorial content remains readable.
6. Processors acting on our behalf
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data described in section 3.
- An application error-monitoring service (Bugsnag), which receives technical diagnostics about faults and may incidentally include the URL, IP and, for signed-in users, a user identifier.
- Third-party financial data and news providers, which supply market content to us. We send them no personal data about you.
- Our AI content provider, which generates editorial copy from market data. No reader personal data is ever sent to it.
Processors are bound by contract to use the data only for the service they provide to us.
7. How long we keep things
- Account data and watchlists — for as long as your account exists, then deleted when you delete the account.
- Contact-form messages — retained while we handle the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference and abuse prevention, then deleted.
- Sessions — expire automatically and are pruned.
- Server and error logs — retained short-term for security and debugging.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where that involves a transfer out of the UK/EEA, it is made under an approved transfer mechanism such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights
Subject to your local law, you can ask us to: confirm what data we hold about you and give you a copy; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to our processing; or port your data elsewhere. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Submit a request through the contact form under "Privacy & data request". We will respond within one month. If you have an account, the fastest route to deletion is the "Delete Account" control in your profile, which removes your account and watchlist. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
10. Children
Trade-Advise is intended for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and administrative functions are behind authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly through the contact form rather than disclosing it publicly.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting account holders will be notified by email.
