Thursday paid the held gap and punished the chased one. Seven of ten megacaps closed green. Six of those seven finished in the upper third of their session range. The two loudest opens — TSLA and AMD — gapped up, failed, and closed red.

The headline catalyst went nowhere. Trump Media pitched Wall Street a $100,000-a-month fast feed of the president's Truth Social posts. Morgan Stanley said Thursday the market's swing risk after Trump posts has "declined markedly." This board traded on flow, and the flow rewarded patience over speed.

The Call

We stay with the gap-and-hold names into Monday. Thursday's session lows are the invalidation levels the desk is watching — nothing matters until one breaks.

AMD's $49.24 high-to-low swing ran three times TSLA's .89 range — the session's two failed gaps.

Priority Board

  • GOOGL — $370.92 (+3.17%). Opened at $358.15, $1.36 below the prior close. Buyers reversed it and ran the full $15.89 range. The move coincided with Buffett telling CNBC he waited too long on Alphabet. The yearly high at $408.61 offers 10.2% of upside. Invalidation: $357.76.
  • AAPL — $327.50 (+4.01%). Fresh 52-week high at $328.72 on 60.8M shares. Gapped up $2.77 and never looked back. Invalidation: $317.32.
  • MSFT — $395.63 (+2.78%). Gapped up $2.87 and held the bid all session. The $398.96 high sits .33 from the $400 psychological mark. Invalidation: $386.40.
  • AMD — $529.14 (−3.46%). Gapped up $7.89, tagged $558.81, then dumped $49.24 to the low. The close clawed back $19.57 to mid-range. A reclaim of $548.13 repairs the chart. Invalidation: $509.57.
  • NVDA — $212.50 (+0.33%). Heaviest volume on the board at 119M shares — for a flat close. It recovered $6.46 off the $206.04 low. No edge until $213.81 or $206.04 gives. Respect the range.
  • META — $681.31 (+3.07%). Dipped to $656.66, under the prior close, then rallied $24.65 into the bell. Invalidation: $656.66.
  • AMZN — $254.96 (+3.02%). Quiet gap-and-hold. Never traded below $249.92. Invalidation: $249.92.
  • TSLA — $394.46 (−0.43%). Gapped up $3.21, tagged $406.59, then bled to a lower-third close. Below $390.66, sellers press.
  • JPM — $346.91 (+1.17%). New 52-week high at $351.24, then a $4.33 give-back into the close. Still up 1.17% — but the fade tempers the print. Invalidation: $344.05.
  • V — $355.14 (−0.25%). Ran to $360.43 and surrendered all of it. Below $349.16, the fade extends.

Exposure Check

  • Working: gap-and-hold longs. AAPL above $317.32, MSFT above $386.40, AMZN above $249.92 — all intact.
  • Not working: chasing loud opens. AMD cost $26.88 from open to close. TSLA cost $4.93.
  • Changing: NVDA drops to neutral. Massive turnover, flat result — a standoff until the range resolves.
  • The expression: if the rotation into held gaps continues, it lives in GOOGL through $373.65, targeting $408.61.
