AAPL printed $333.07 Friday — 0.6% from its 52-week high of $334.99. That's the headline. Everything else on the board either faded or flatlined. Six of ten names closed red or near-flat. The session was a rotation story, not a rally.

The Call

Apple's earnings catalyst — the catalyst was a gap-up open at $324.38 on volume of 47.4M shares — drove the name to 90% of its day's range by close. The desk watches $334.99: above that level within five sessions, AAPL resets its 52-week structure. Below $321.62, the session low, Friday's print is a one-day event with no follow-through.

Risk Sheet

  • AAPL — $334.99 is the 52-week high and the only level that matters. Bulls need a clean close above it. Below $321.62, the gap partially fills and the breakout thesis weakens materially.
  • AMD — Gapped up 1.34% to $546.92, then reversed hard to close at $521.95 — finishing at just 13% of its day's range. The high was $549.00; the close sat $27.05 below it. Below $518.00, the session low, the next anchor is the 52-week low at $149.22. Bulls need $549.00 reclaimed within five sessions or Friday's reversal defines the near-term ceiling.
  • TSLA — Closed $313.03, sitting at 40% of its day's range. A Seeking Alpha analysis noted that stripping out SpaceX contribution and a tax benefit leaves roughly $77 million in core profit — the catalyst was not operational strength. Below $306.51, the session low, TSLA is back within 3% of its 52-week low of $297.82.
  • META — Closed at 5% of its day's range at $595.19. That is a fade off the $609.98 high with almost no recovery. Below $594.45, the session low, this name has no floor anchored by Friday's structure until the 52-week low at $520.26.
  • JPM — Closed at 96% of its day's range at $353.16, just $0.21 below its 52-week high of $353.37. Volume was thin at 7.5M. Regional bank earnings across the board — Glacier Bancorp's net income up 85% year-over-year, Southside Bancshares up 23% — gave the sector a floor. Above $353.37, JPM prints a 52-week high. Below $347.50, the session low, the move was noise.
  • V — Closed at 98% of its day's range at $355.74, sitting 2.6% below its 52-week high of $365.14. Volume of 4.5M was light, but the close location says buyers held all day. Above $365.14, the range expands. Below $351.05, the bid evaporates.
  • NVDA — Closed at 29% of its day's range at $206.84 on 114.7M shares — heaviest volume on the board by a wide margin. The tape is speaking: volume confirmed but direction didn't. Gapped down, pushed to $211.91, faded back to $206.84. Above $211.91, the session high is reclaimed and momentum buyers re-engage. Below $204.81, the session low, the next level is psychological support at $200.00.
  • MSFT — Gapped up 1.30% to $386.55, then closed at $381.74 — finishing at 13% of its day's range, nearly wiping out the entire gap. Volume of 27.5M on a day where the open price of $386.55 was the high of the session by implication is not a bullish read. Below $380.65, the session low, MSFT has nothing until $349.20.
  • AMZN — Closed at 21% of its day's range at $232.11. CNBC flagged Amazon as having momentum heading into next week's earnings. Below $231.34, the session low, that pre-earnings bid is tested immediately.
  • GOOGL — Closed at 36% of its day's range at $319.77, up 0.65%. The middle of the range on moderate volume of 31.3M. Neither conviction buy nor distribution — this name is waiting on a catalyst.

The Outlier

JPM at $353.16 — one tick from a 52-week high — is the name that doesn't fit. While mega-cap tech reversed hard off session highs, JPM closed at 96% of its range on a wave of regional bank earnings beats. Glacier Bancorp's 85% year-over-year net income surge and margin expansion across Southside Bancshares and Heritage Financial suggest the rate environment is finally working for lenders. JPM is the cleaner expression of that flow — 26.5% above its 52-week low and knocking on a historic high. That divergence from the tech tape is worth watching into Monday.

Seven of ten names gapped higher at the open. Only three — AAPL, V, and JPM — held those gains into the close.
